Boyfriend's Jeongmin Rushed To Hospital For Emergency Surgery
Boyfriend member Jeongmin was rushed to the hospital at 14 june 2013 for emergency surgery to treat acute appendicitis.
According to Starship Entertainment, Boyfriend's music label, the idol experienced stomach pains after a scheduled appearance. He was brought to a local hospital and was promptly told to go to a larger hospital for immediate surgery when it was discovered that he had appendicitis.
Appendicitis a medical condition where the appendix becomes inflamed. It can cause abdominal pain, vomiting and fever. Left untreated, the appendix can rupture and infect the patient, leading to the inflammation of the intestine, sepsis and death. As such, appendicitis is classified as a medical emergency requiring immediate treatment.
Understandably, Jeongmin will be absent from his scheduled activities as he recovers from the procedure.
